- IDEA Legal Aspects: This course explores the legal foundations and practical applications of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the cornerstone of special education law in the United States. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of parents’ and students’ rights, school responsibilities, and procedural safeguards that ensure equitable access to education for children with disabilities.
- IEP Meetings: This course prepares parents to confidently participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. It breaks down the process step-by-step—from pre-meeting preparation to post-meeting follow-up—so participants understand their roles, rights, and responsibilities. Learners will explore how to collaborate effectively with school teams, interpret evaluation results, set measurable goals, and ensure that services and accommodations meet your child's unique needs
